DESCRIPTION:The City of Alexandria invites the public to celebrate Building Safety Month during the month of May with a Kick-Off Event at City Hall -Market Square located at 301 King Street. Building Safety Month is celebrated during the month of May and focuses on the work of our building safety professionals. The City of Alexandria joins the nationwide campaign to raise awareness of the continuous efforts of our Code Administrations Professionals! This year’s theme is Game On! \nEvent highlights will include a proclamation signing by Mayor Alyia Gaskins\, remarks by City Manager James Parajon\, and a keynote address by a special guest. There will be FREE TRAINING\, RAFFLES\, LUNCH\, and EXHIBITS from City departments and building safety stakeholders. \nThe training sessions will provide a total of 2 hours of Continuing Education Units (CEUs). Seating is limited to 50 people and is open to the public.
