SUMMARY:Problem Solving for Fire Resistance in Existing Construction
DESCRIPTION:The presentation will cover basic examples for estimating the fire resistance of various building assemblies such as walls\, columns\, beams and floors/roofs in existing buildings. The examples used will demonstrate compliance with the fire resistance requirements of the 2018 International Building Code. Course material presented will cover using code recognized technical documents/provisions and other suitable resources to document fire resistance based on alternative means and methods.
