Chicago Building Rehabilitation Code Workshop
October 8, 2019 @ 8:00 am - 10:00 am
The City of Chicago is modernizing its building code and recently completed a total rewrite of sections impacting residential construction. These changes are designed to bring Chicago’s code into closer alignment with model national codes. Although these changes do not become effective until 2020, now is the time to learn how these changes will impact future remodeling and rehabilitation of existing residential buildings in Chicago.
Come join us on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 for a special Existing Building (Rehabilitation & Renovation) Code Workshop hosted by the Home Builders Association of Greater Chicago. The workshop will be led by Kenneth DeMuth of Pappageorge Haymes Partners, who co-chaired the Existing Buildings (Rehab) Committee during the code modernization rewrite. Grant Ullrich, Deputy Commissioner for the Department of Buildings, who is leading the City’s code modernization initiative, will open the workshop.
