City of Alexandria Building Safety Month Kick-Off event

The City of Alexandria invites the public to celebrate Building Safety Month during the month of May with a Kick-Off event on May 5, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., at City Hall – Market Square located at 301 King Street.
This year’s event, hosted by the Department of Code Administration, will include a proclamation signing by Mayor Justin Wilson, remarks by City Manager James Parajon, and keynote speaker International Code Council President Cindy Davis, followed by a free lunch and raffle and exhibits from city departments and the local building community.
The event will also feature two, 1 – HOUR FREE TRAINING SESSIONS: 9: 00 a.m. – Deck Safety Inspections by Simpson Strong-Tie 10:00 a.m. – Fire Rated Assemblies and Fire Stopping Methods by HILTI Please contact Penny.Gausman@alexandriava.gov to register for in person training.
