SUMMARY:Residential Seismic Assessment and Retrofit Standard Consensus Committee (IS-RSARC)
DESCRIPTION:The purpose for this virtual meeting is for the IS-RSARC committee to discuss the development of the ICC 1300 standard: \nAs an ANSI accredited standard developing organization\, ICC is undertaking a project coordinated with the California Earthquake Authority (CEA) and FEMA to develop an ICC Standard for the seismic evaluation and retrofit of one and two family dwellings (including townhouses) designated as ICC 1300\, Standard for the Vulnerability-Based Seismic Assessment and Retrofit of One- and Two-Family Dwellings. \nThe development of the standard will be initiated with FEMA P-1100 as an initial draft. This committee will have primary responsibility for the development of minimum requirements to safeguard the public health\, safety\, general welfare by providing a methodology for the identification\, evaluation and retrofit of specific known vulnerabilities for one- and two-family wood light-frame dwellings up to 2 stories in height located in Seismic Design Categories B through E. This will include the use of the best available seismic numerical modeling tools and engineering practices to assist in development of assessment methods and to identify retrofit criteria to best achieve targeted performance objectives. Use of the provisions is anticipated to improve earthquake performance but is not necessarily intended to prevent earthquake damage. Also included is the evaluation and retrofit of masonry chimneys attached to 3 story buildings. \nJoin from the meeting link\nhttps://iccsafe.webex.com/iccsafe/j.php?MTID=ma9187c1f09b802f8be33cbd24458e4b3 \nJoin by meeting number\nMeeting number (access code): 2591 143 6660\nMeeting password: RiNKzD39fW3 \nTap to join from a mobile device (attendees only)\n1-844-740-1264\,\,25911436660## USA Toll Free\n+1-415-655-0003\,\,25911436660## US Toll \nJoin by phone\n1-844-740-1264 USA Toll Free\n+1-415-655-0003 US Toll\nGlobal call-in numbers | Toll-free calling restrictions \nJoin from a video system or application\nDial 25911436660@iccsafe.webex.com\nYou can also dial 173.243.2.68 and enter your meeting number.
