ICC Unveils Redesigned cdpACCESS Platform
The updated platform delivers an easier experience for code development users and administrators.
The International Code Council (ICC) has rolled out a redesign of its flagship code development process program, cdpACCESS.
The new, more intuitive platform will be faster and clearer when creating, collaborating on and voting on updates to building, fire and safety codes.

Why Redesign?
These new designs for cdpACCESS were created by both ICC staff and non-ICC affiliated professionals with the goal of making workflows more streamlined, more easily accessible and an overall better user experience.
This redesign is a part of our continuous process improvement in the broader code-development workflow, making the ICC codes and standards development process more direct to code developers, administrators, building safety professionals and the general public.
What’s New for Users and Administrators
ICC has added new user dashboards that provide custom views to help users track proposals, ongoing comments and deadlines.
cdpACCESS also promises better accessibility that allows users to work seamlessly from desktop to tablet.
For administrators, new controls are now available to bring clearer oversight and more configurative power to group proposals. This allows ICC staff to more effectively support the proponents and facilitate the gold standard in code development processes globally.
How to Get Started with the New cdpACCESS
To help guide new users through their first code development proposals, training and support resources can be found in the help section of the cdpACCESS here.
The deployment of the updated cpdACCESS will not cause interruptions to the code development process and the standards development processes that utilized cdpACCESS. We will have additional information on this and future updates to cdpACCESS as they become available.
Thank You for Your Contributions
ICC would like to thank all who participate in the ICC codes and standards development processes. Your dedication to the ICC code development process and the leading global model codes for safety in the built environment impact the lives of approximately two billion people.
Your contributions make a difference for your families, your neighbors, your communities and society. We all live safer because of the work you contribute to the consensus process.
