About the Author
Edward Wirtschoreck is the director of code development for the International Code Council. As the director of codes, he is responsible for management of the Code Council's codes development activities. Prior to his position with ICC as the director of code development, he held other positions with the Code Council, including manager of standards and regional manager for the Chicago regional office of the ICC Evaluation Service, Inc. Wirtschoreck is an Illinois licensed architect with a bachelor’s degree in architecture from the University of Illinois at Chicago Circle.
