International Code Council Board Service Educational Session
Attendees will learn about the expectations for Board members and the Nominating Committee process and have the chance to participate in a Q&A session.
On Tuesday, June 24, 2025, from 1:00 – 2:00 PM ET, the International Code Council will host an educational webinar to help potential Code Council Board of Directors candidates understand the Code Council Board nominations and elections process and provide an overview of what service on the Board of Directors looks like.
Recent changes to Council Policy 19 – Governing the Conduct of Elections and Council Policy 20 – the Nominating Committee have expanded the Nominating Committee’s recruitment and vetting process with the goal of offering prospective candidates a clearer picture of what Code Council Board service entails.
Whether you’re submitted your application to serve on the Board, considering running for a position, or simply interested in how the Code Council’s governance works, this webinar offers valuable insights from Code Council staff and the Immediate Past President and Nominating Committee Chair Stuart Tom, and will include a high level overview of the Code Council Board Manual – Serving Others, Promoting Safety: Guidelines for Service on the ICC Board of Directors.
Attendees will learn about the expectations for Board members and the Nominating Committee process and have the chance to participate in a Q&A session. All Code Council members are invited to attend and engage in the future of the organization’s leadership. Please submit questions to be considered by ICC staff and Immediate Past President Tom in advance within the below webinar registration link.
