Now Open: Public Comment on Interim Critical Amendment to IMC Table 1103.1
Under Council Policy 28 Section 2.3.2.5 the ICA is now available for public comment until July 12, 2025, at 11:59 PM PT.
The International Mechanical Code® (IMC) Development Committee approved unanimously an Interim Critical Amendment (ICA) to Table 1103.1 of the 2024 IMC based on its technical merit and critical nature per Council Policy 28 Section 2.3.2.4.
Further information on the ICA, which proposes to resolve potential safety concerns that may arise from the use of incorrect Refrigerant Concentration Limit (RCLs) and Lower Flammability Limits (LFLs) for Safety Group A2L refrigerant blends, can be found here.
