2024-2026 Group A and B Final Action Results Now Available
The final action results of the Public Comment Hearing (PCH) and Online Governmental Consensus Vote (OGCV) for the 2024-2026 Group A & Group B are now available. These final voting results are reviewed by an independent Validation Committee before validating the process results. The Validation Committee determined that the process and voting results were valid with no irregularities or concerns to the outcome.
Section 15.1 of CP 28 Code Development states that any person may file an appeal in accordance with CP 1 Appeals. In accordance with Section 3.0 of CP 1, the review by the Appeals Board shall be limited to matters of process and procedure and not the relative merits of technical matters. CP 1 provides the details for appeal submissions. Section 6.1 of CP 1 requires appeals to be received within 30 days of the posting of this document. Accordingly, the appeal deadline is Aug. 13, 2026.
This finalizes the 2027 Code Development Cycle process for over 2,300 code changes received this cycle. The codes will be published and available in both print and digital formats later this year.
These results reflect the work of approximately 500 Code Development Committee (CDC), Code Action Committee (CAC) and Code Correlation Committee (CCC) members, along with hundreds of code change proponents and governmental member voting representatives who participated in ICC’s industry–leading consensus code development process. Their collective contributions helped advance the leading model safety codes for the built environment.
