Calls for Committee: Code Action Committees and the Codes and Standards Council

With the upcoming conclusion of the 2022 Group B Cycle after the Online Governmental Consensus Vote in October, the 2021/2022 Cycle of Code Development is coming to a close which will result in the publication of the 2024 I-Codes. The International Code Council is now seeking volunteers for five ICC Code Action Committees and the Codes and Standards Council to participate in the code development process for the 2024/2026 cycle.  

The 2024/2026 Cycle will bring significant changes to the process. In support of the next cycle, calls for the following committees have been posted: 

• Five (5) Code Action Committees  
  • Building Code Action Committee (BCAC) 
  • Fire Code Action Committee (FCAC) 
  • Plumbing, Mechanical and Fuel Gas Code Action Committee (PMGCAC) 
  • Sustainability, Energy & High-Performance Building Code Action Committee (SEHPCAC) 
  • Compliance Code Action Committee (CCAC) 

• Codes and Standards Council 

The application deadline is October 24th. You can learn more and apply for these and other committees here. 

Looking ahead to January/February of 2023, there will be another Call for Committee for the remaining 2024/2026 Cycle committees, namely: Code Development, Interpretation and the Code Correlation Committee. The application deadline will be June 1, 2023. Stay tuned for more information.
