ICC Announces Public Review Period for Hydrogen Systems in the Built Environment
The draft of Guideline 8 is available for public comment through July 24, 2026.
The International Code Council (ICC) announced the opening of a 30-day review period for the Guideline 8 (G8)– Professional Qualifications for Hydrogen Systems in the Built Environment. The draft has been posted in the documents folder on the Committee website for the public review period.
This new guide will establish minimum qualification requirements for professionals involved with hydrogen systems in the built environment. The guide is intended to align with candidate and existing ANSI standards and cover all aspects of hydrogen production and distribution systems within buildings, including piping, appliances, equipment and components for heating and energy purposes.
