ICC-ES receives accreditation to conduct formaldehyde emission listing

ICC Evaluation Service (ICC-ES) — the experts in building product evaluation and certification — has received accreditation from the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation and American National Standards Institute to provide third-party certification services to manufacturers of composite wood products. This accreditation complements the company’s existing EPA-approved formaldehyde emission listing program.

ICC-ES has earned this accreditation under 40 CFR part 770 — Formaldehyde Standards for Composite Wood Products. Products that can be certified under this program include hardwood plywood, particleboard, medium-density fiberboard (MDF) and thin MDF.

“We are pleased to receive such valuable accreditation to provide these certifications,” said ICC-ES Quality System Director David Pereg. “We have been providing exceptional service in this area, and these scope extensions will allow us to continue our service offerings and add more value and options to our clients.”
