International Pool | Spa | Patio Expo unveils new features
The 2019 International Pool | Spa | Patio Expo (PSP Expo) is thrilled to announce several new features for the 2019 event, including the launch of a state-of-the-art networking technology — PSP Connect — that will be unveiled at this year’s event. The PSP Expo, sponsored by the Pool and Hot Tub Alliance, is returning to New Orleans from Nov. 2–7, 2019, and will be held at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans.
PSPCONNECT, will allow show attendees and exhibitors to connect on-site by requesting 30-minute meetings prior to the show. This new service, available online through the PSP Expo website, offers all in attendance the opportunity to create profiles and search for others based on areas of interest and job type, build relationships, and create business opportunities. A team of matchmaking professionals support the service, assisting with meeting arrangements and managing the new PSP CONNECT Lounge, Booth #116.
“This new feature will be one of the most valuable experiences at the show offering the opportunity for attendees to request a meeting directly with suppliers, clients and colleagues,” said Shelby Snelson, show manager for the PSP Expo. “Networking is one of the primary reasons to attend the PSP Expo, and we highly encourage everyone to utilize this invaluable tool while they’re on-site in New Orleans.”
Also new this year, the PSP Expo is bringing back Power Panel sessions. The three sessions held concurrently at 10:15 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2019, are segmented between builders, retailers and service professionals. The Power Panels will provide an in-depth conversation about current industry trends by bringing together the best forward-thinking minds. The sessions are free to everyone and will take place prior to the expo floor opening.
Brandi McElhaney, senior conference manager for the PSP Expo, said, “We are proud to bring back our Power Panels this year. These sessions will allow attendees to learn from the most accomplished industry professionals as they share their insights on their retail, service and builder businesses. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and hear the panel offer real solutions for tackling today’s toughest issues. We are excited that attendees will be able to leave with true takeaways from these sessions.”
Additionally, the PSP Expo has partnered with Pool and Spa News on the second Annual PSN and Jandy Top 50 Service awards. The awards program honors service companies of all sizes as the very best in their field. For the first time, this year’s awards will be presented during the PSP Expo at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2019, in the Pool & Spa School on the show floor.
The PSP Expo started more than 60 years ago as an association show for the industry. As the show has grown, it continues to focus on new ways to connect the industry. “Our goal is to support the industry and provide a platform for educational growth and peer-to-peer engagement, “ said Tracy Garcia, CEM, PSP Expo show director.
The show partners with The Pool & Hot Tub Alliance as the official show sponsor, GENESIS as the official show endorser, Pool and Spa News as the official show publication, Pentair as the show platinum sponsor, and many more.
