Apply to Become a Membership Council Governing Committee Member
As part of the International Code Council’s governing body, active members can now apply to be candidates for election to one of several governing committee positions.
The International Code Council (ICC) is looking for active ICC members to apply for open seats on multiple Membership Council Governing Committees.
Participating in a Membership Council Governing Committee is a great way to help connect and guide ICC members and stakeholders with common interests.
ICC encourages active members with expertise in certain codes to apply for candidacy within these committees. If selected, candidates serve in voluntary committee positions for up to three years, with the option of running for one additional term.
Application
Active ICC members must apply by July 15, 2026, to be considered for open Membership Council Governing Committee seats. Click here to complete the application.
Active ICC members currently have the opportunity to apply for the following committees:
Five open seats; five current members eligible for an additional term
No open seats; alternates are available
Two open seats; one current member is eligible for an additional term
Four open seats; three current members eligible for an additional term
Two open seats; two current members are eligible for an additional term
Three open seats; three current members eligible for an additional term
Four open seats; three current members eligible for an additional term
