Code Council Voting Members Elect 2023–2024 Board Officers and Directors
Members of the International Code Council welcomed a new slate of officers and directors to its 2023–2024 Board of Directors on Oct. 9, 2023, at the Code Council 2023 Annual Conference in St. Louis, MO.
Members of the International Code Council welcomed a new slate of officers and directors to its 2023–2024 Board of Directors on Oct. 9, 2023, at the Code Council 2023 Annual Conference in St. Louis, MO.

Three senior officers were elected to the executive committee and five directors (two sectional and three at-large) were elected or re-elected to serve on the board by eligible Code Council voting members.

The newly elected executive committee includes:
President: Stuart D. Tom, P.E., CBO, FIAE, Superintendent of Building and Fire, City of Pasadena, California
Vice President: David Spencer, CBO, Operations Manager, Adams County, Washington
Secretary/Treasurer: Mike Boso, Chief Building and Zoning Official, City of Grove City, Ohio

Newly elected and re-elected board members include:
Section C Director (three-year term): Andre Jaen, MCP, CBO, CSP, Division of Building Safety, Jefferson County, Colorado (Section C includes the states of Utah, Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, and Mexico)
Section F Director (three-year term): Blake Steiner, CBO, Chief Building Official – Baton Rouge, South Central Planning and Development Commission, Gray, Louisiana (Section F includes the states of Tennessee, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, and the Caribbean)
Director At-Large (three-year term): Ron Clements, Director/Building Official, Chesterfield County Building Inspection Department, Virginia
Director At-Large (three-year term): Steve McDaniel, Code Enforcement Officer, City of Corning, New York
Director At-Large (three-year term): Michael Savage, Director of Building Safety/Building Official, Marion County, Florida
About the International Code Council Board of Directors
The board is comprised of four officers, eight at-large directors and six sectional directors. The board sets the strategic direction for the organization while adhering to its stated mission of building safety.
To carry out this charge, the board meets multiple times a year across the country to address high-level organizational matters, ensure adequate financial and program resources, and oversee and evaluate the chief executive officer.
