International Code Council Strengthens Collaboration with UA at Annual Instructor Training Program
Through the JATC and annual ITP events, the UA continues to deliver essential instruction, which now includes Code Council training on the International Plumbing Code® and International Fuel Gas Code®.
As part of its ongoing commitment to advancing skilled labor, the International Code Council participated in the United Association’s (UA) annual Instructor Training Program (ITP) in Ann Arbor, MI. Plumbing, mechanical and fuel gas (PMG) Directors Gary Gauthier and Rich Anderson represented the Code Council at this premier training event.
The UA represents approximately 389,000 professionals across the construction industry, including plumbers, pipefitters, sprinkler fitters, HVACR service technicians and more. Their ITP event plays a critical role in shaping the future of technical training and workforce development.
During the event, a new agreement was presented between the Code Council and UA, enhancing access to Code Council resources for UA instructors through the Joint Apprentice Training Center (JATC) programs. The agreement outlines a shared commitment to supporting the UA’s training efforts through a structured outreach and education program.
