This new feature will increase the visibility, awareness and ease-of use of ICC-SRCC listings

Brea, Calif. – The Solar Rating & Certification Corporation (ICC-SRCC), a program of the ICC Evaluation Service (ICC-ES), is expanding its solar water heating client offerings to include an exclusive new online code linkage feature. This feature will increase the visibility, awareness and ease-of use of listings by linking the International Code Council’s widely used, online code portals, publicACCESS and premiumACCESS, to client listings.

The publicACCESS and premiumACCESS portals provide online access to the International Codes (I-Codes), a coordinated, modern, efficient set of building codes used in all 50 U.S. states and many other countries. Specifiers, engineers and code officials use these digital code websites on a regular basis to specify products or approve products for installation. Users accessed these two sites over 4.5 million times in 2017.

Denoted by a green ICC-ES symbol, the links allow users to see a list of compliant solar thermal equipment and directly access the applicable listings on the ICC-SRCC website. As a member of the ICC Family of Companies, ICC-ES is the only entity that can offer this unique feature.

Designed specifically for solar heating and cooling manufacturers by industry experts, the ICC-SRCC listing program saves manufacturers time and money, facilitates quicker and more accurate installations of solar thermal products, and provides high-quality listing information that code officials need to enforce the codes. ICC-SRCC listings show manufacturer compliance to all codes applicable to solar thermal equipment and components throughout the U.S.
