U6 Exam Change -- Effective July 1, 2010
Effective July 1, 2010, the U6 UST System Operator (National exam) will no longer be offered by ICC, due to EPA guidelines regarding UST operator classes. As a result, ICC will offer two new exams: the Class A UST System Operator and Class B UST System Operator.
Please be sure to read the
UST/AST Exam Information Bulletin in its entirety, for information including content, references, and fees.
Please be aware that if you call Pearson VUE to register for a computer-based exam, you can register for the U6 only if scheduled for administration up to and including June 30, 2010. After that date, you must register for either the AU (Class A) or BU (Class B) exam. Check with the jurisdiction in which you wish to work to see which of these exams is the correct one for you to take.
EPA Acceptance
ICC certification as a Class A or Class B UST System Operator has been approved as meeting the federal guidelines. Candidates are strongly encouraged to register and test now, as seating in Pearson VUE test centers is limited. Some sites are not open every day, so register early to ensure you will receive your desired test date and time.
