Fire Code Action Committee (FCAC)

The Fire Code Action Committee (FCAC) meetings are open to the public. Any interested party can participate in committee meetings and can participate in any Work Group (WG) that the committee creates. Interested parties will be notified by email of FCAC activities including committee meetings, WG meetings and the availability of FCAC related documentation. Updated list of ongoing meetings found in the Meeting Info link in the overview box to the right. FCAC is focused upon the 2024 and 2025 Code Cycles.

2025.11.12 | Virtual FCAC Meeting Announcement

The next virtual FCAC meeting shall be held on December 10, 2025, at 2 PM ET/1 PM CT/12 PM MT/11AM PT. The purpose of this meeting is to review the ROCAH #2 and develop public comments for any fire related proposals in preparation for the January 5 deadline.

ICC is now seeking volunteers for five Code Action Committees and the Codes and Standards Council to participate in the code development process for the 2027-2029 cycle.

By serving on these committees, you will help shape the 2030 International Codes®, advancing building safety through model codes used by your communities and others globally.

Interested Parties: You may request to be added or removed as an interested party by filling out the "Interested Parties List" on the Committee Applications page.

Thank you for your interest in applying to this committee. Volunteers are one of the most important assets of the International Code Council. Their work on the ICC Board of Directors, committees and councils is directly related to the success of ICC. It takes the time and expertise of many individuals working through the numerous ICC committees to shape the Code Council into the world-class membership organization that exists today.
