Plan Review Services
The ICC plan review services are available to all state and local governments as well as design professionals. This service provides prompt and technically-comprehensive review of all drawings and construction documents based on either the ICC's International Codes or legacy codes (BOCA, ICBO, SBCCI).
The ICC plan review service provides cost-effective, accurate plan reviews with turnaround times coordinated with the permit application processes. ICC plan review disciplines include building (structural and nonstructural), mechanical, plumbing, electrical, accessibility, energy conservation and fire protection systems (includes sprinklers). An ICC plan review includes review of construction plans for all applicable code disciplines, and a detailed checklist of code compliance and violations as well as one complimentary re-review of reissued plans.
ICC performs plan reviews for the ICC International Code series (Building, Mechanical, Plumbing and Energy Conservation), the legacy codes (BOCA, ICBO and SBCCI) as well as electrical, sprinkler and accessibility reviews based on the applicable standards. Be sure to indicate the applicable code series, discipline and edition year to be reviewed. Also, local amendments which modify the applicable code requirements (if any), should be submitted with a directive for ICC to incorporate the amendments in the Plan Review.
