Bahrain

Building safety in Bahrain is regulated by the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning. The Ministry has established an online building permit portal, Benyat, for licensed Engineering Offices to apply for and track the status of building permits for all types of construction, as well as to determine zoning restrictions in areas of proposed construction.

The Ministry has also published the Unified Guidebook of Building Permit Regulations to provide a single source for all building and construction related regulations issued by the various ministries and directorates in the Kingdom.
