José Roig To Join the International Code Council’s Global Solutions Team as Regional Director of Latin America and the Caribbean
Director at Large, José Roig, CBO, has resigned from his position with the International Code Council’s Board of Directors. Effective June 2, 2025, Roig will join the International Code Council’s Global Solutions Team as the Regional Director of Latin America and the Caribbean.
His responsibilities will include creating regional business strategies, identifying opportunities and building key relationships to help provide building safety solutions to the region.
With over 17 years of public service in Austin, Texas, and 14 years in the private sector, Roig most recently served as Director of Development Services, leading all development-related initiatives in the city. He holds several certifications from the Code Council, including Certified Building Official, Commercial and Residential Building Inspector, Commercial and Residential Energy Inspector and Property Maintenance and Housing Inspector.
Pursuant to the Code Council bylaws, in the event of a vacancy on the Code Council Board of Directors, the President shall nominate a successor to fill the vacant unexpired term, subject to ratification by the Board, and such successor shall serve until they are duly elected and qualified by the voting members at the 2025 Annual Business Meeting.
