2015-2017 Code Development Cycle Begins

The 2015-2017 Code Development Cycle will be the first full cycle to use cdpACCESS to develop the Group A Codes: International Building, Existing Building, Residential-Mechanical and Plumbing, Plumbing, Private Sewage Disposal, Mechanical, Fuel Gas, Swimming Pool and Spa, Property Maintenance and Zoning Codes. 2014 Code Development Cycle Results

The Online Governmental Consensus Vote (OGCV) was completed on October 31 and the Validation Committee certified the results in accordance with Section 10.1 of CP 28 Code Development. Click here for the Summary of Final Action.

ICC A117.1 Second Public Review Draft Available For Public Comment

The Second Public Review Draft of ICC A117.1-2015 - Accessible and Usable Buildings and Facilities, dated November 7, 2014, is available for public comment. The public comment deadline is Monday, December 22, 2014.

Out of Cycle Changes to Material Properties

The International Code Council’s Code Development Process (cdp) includes updates to standards referenced in codes. Sometimes the changes are not synchronized with the cdp schedule. When this occurs, the ICC responds in two ways.

Group A, B and C Committee Responsibilities for the 2015-2017 Code Development Cycle

Group A Code Development Committees will consider code change proposals for Group A codes and part of Group B codes. Likewise Group B Code Development Committees will consider code change proposals for Group B codes and parts of Group A codes. In addition, the Administrative Code Development Committee will consider administrative updates for referenced standards for Groups A, B and C.
