People Helping People Build a Safer World®
The International Code Council stands in solidarity with Texas plumbing professionals. In light of recent state legislation, that impacts both the Texas plumbing industry and general public, the Code Council will continue to provide communities with training to the highest quality codes and testing to ensure the next generation of plumbers is fully trained, educated and qualified.
The International Plumbing Code (IPC) is the most widely adopted plumbing code in Texas. Cities throughout the State also follow the International Residential Code (IRC), which is cited in State Statute and contains the IPC plumbing provisions. With provisions included in the IRC and International Swimming Pool and Spa Code (ISPSC), the IPC incorporates innovative technologies and provides plumbing regulations that address both prescriptive and performance-based objectives. The adoption and enforcement
of the IPC is critical to the health, safety and welfare of communities throughout the state.
Plumbers and plumbing inspectors certified under the IPC have proven they are equipped with the expertise required to ensure consumer safety. The Code Council offers a vast array of training and education, supported by a network of more than 400 Preferred Training Provider partners, for plumbing and code professionals to advance their knowledge and skillsets and remain up-to-date on the most recent and relevant industry information.
The
ICC Learning Center
offers virtual classroom events including web sessions, virtual training paths to certification covering a multitude of plumbing courses. Certification has never been more convenient and can be achieved through the Code Council’s state of the art proctored online testing service, which is accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
From the extensive programing to the support of its committed Members and Staff, the Code Council will continue to support and offer solutions to the Texas plumbing professionals throughout this regulatory plumbing transition and beyond.
