The International Code Council's Building Official, Fire Service, Global, PMG Official, Sustainability and Emerging Leaders Membership Councils came together Sunday, Oct. 21, for a joint meeting to hold Governing Council elections, present awards and discuss matters of interest to all Membership Councils.

The Annual Ron Burton Golf Outing was the fourth fundraising event of the Past Presiding Officers and celebrates the life and work of renowned code expert William Ronald "Ron" Burton. The tourney included a 50/50 drawing, prizes for the longest drive and closest to the pin, a hole-in-one contest, a golf ball launching contest, and gifts for all participants.

The 14th Annual Bob Fowler Motorcycle Ride was held Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 20-21, prior to the start of the Code Council's 2018 Annual Conference. Riders enjoyed the many wonderful sights of Virginia and the magnificent scenery of the Blue Ridge Mountains on their way to historic Colonial Williamsburg and Jamestown, America's first permanent English colony, in Virginia in 1607.

The ICC host chapters welcomed conference attendees to Richmond's newly renovated Richmond Train Shed located at historic Main Street Station during the Welcome to Richmond Reception. Attendees were greeted by Patrick Henry, George Washington and others and sampled a variety of famous Virginia fare and beverages all while enjoying the rocking sounds of the Deloreans.
