Historic changes to the 2021 International Building Code allow for construction of tall mass timber buildings with larger heights and areas than is currently permitted in Types III, IV, and V construction. This presentation will provide an overview of allowable heights and areas for three new types of mass timber construction: Types IV-A, IV-B, and IV-C.
