The Barbados National Building Code is published by the Barbados National Standards Institution (https://www.gov.bb/State-Bodies/national-standards) and enforced by the Barbados Building Standards Authority (https://www.gov.bb/Departments/building-standards). It is focused on fire safety and life safety. An online version is not available.
The Barbados National Standards Institution was involved in the development of the CARICOM Regional Energy Efficiency Building Code, which is based on the International Energy Conservation Code and this code is in the process of being adopted and implemented in the country.
