Building safety in St. Kitts and Nevis is the responsibility of the Ministry of Public Infrastructure, Posts, Urban Development and Transport. The code is based on the 1996 version of the Carribean Uniform Building Code (CUBiC) developed by the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States but is not available online.

The St. Kitts and Nevis Bureau of Standards was involved in the development of the CARICOM Regional Energy Efficiency Building Code (CREEBC), which is based on the International Energy Conservation Code. The CREEBC is in the process of being adopted and implemented in the country.
