United Arab Emirates

Each Emirate within the UAE implements and enforces its own building codes.

Abu Dhabi's building codes are based on the 2009 I-Codes and are implemented by the Abu Dhabi Department of Municipalities and Transport. Copies are available online on the DMT website.

Dubai Municipality will accept architectural and engineering designs based on the International Building Code. Other building regulations referenced in Dubai, along with permitting and other online services, are available online at the Dubai Municipality website.

The fire code is implemented nationally and is under the oversight of the UAE Civil Defense and is available online in pdf format (be patient - download takes some time).
