3D Automated Construction Technology for 3D Concrete Walls
Consensus Committee (IS-3DACT)

ICC 1150 Standard for 3D Automated Construction Technology for 3D Concrete Walls

The first edition of ICC 1150 is being developed under the Code Council’s ANSI Accredited Consensus Procedures.

The Code Council is developing this new standard to provide structural criteria applicable to 3D automated construction technology and 3D Concrete used to construct interior and exterior 3D Concrete walls, with or without structural steel reinforcing, used as bearing walls, non-load bearing walls and shear walls, in one-story or multi-story structures.

A call for committee was posted in January 2023 to solicit committee members of various interest categories to create balance on the committee in accordance with ANSI’s Essential Requirements. The ICC Board of Directors made the final appointments in July 2023.

The first public teleconference meeting of the committee was held on October 20, 2023 to begin development of the standard.  The most recent meeting of the committee was held on October 11, 2024 in which the committee approved the public comment draft for the ANSI public review posting.  The public comment draft is posted below under "Administration" along with an ICC Standards Public Comment Form.   The public review period begins December 13, 2024 and concludes on January 27, 2025.  Comments may be submitted to the staff secretariat.

Anyone interested in attending the public committee meetings may contact the staff secretariat below to receive an invite.

The Code Council adheres to openness and transparency in our Standards development process. All ICC Standards committee meetings are open to the public. Any interested party can participate in committee meetings and can be considered by the committee for membership on any work-group that the committee creates.

Please contact the staff secretariat, Melissa Sanchez, S.E., Sr. Staff Engineer, msanchez@icc-es.org if you wish to be placed on the "interested party" list and receive information on how to participate in the public committee meetings or join a work group created by the committee.
