Saturday, October 17 | 7 am–3 pm

WICED/PTN/ICC Day of Service Volunteer Outing

Women in Code Enforcement Development (WICED), PermitTechNation (PTN), and the International Code Council (ICC) will offer a Day of Service where conference participants can give back to the local community. Register here.

All volunteers will earn 0.7 ICC CEUs. Bus transportation, lunch and a special volunteer t-shirt will be provided.

Saturday, October 17 | 1–3 pm

Pre-Conference Walking Architectural Tour of Nashville

This guided tour includes Greek Revival, Gothic Revival, and Italianate Victorian designs of the 19th century, as well as Art Deco and Art Moderne skyscrapers built in the 20th century. Notable examples of private residences include Belle Meade Historic Site, Cheekwood Botanical Garden and Museum, Belmont Mansion, and Reed House. See and hear the story of Nashville’s most famous buildings including The Ryman, Tennessee State Capitol, Parthenon, Custom’s House, Union Station, Hume Fogg, Historic Courthouse, Frist Center, Hermitage Hotel, James K. Polk Masonic Building, and Lower Broadway. Learn about the 10 most famous Nashville architects of all time and the buildings they designed that still stand today.

Participants are to meet in the lobby of the Country Music Hall of Fame in downtown Nashville. Transportation is not provided with this tour; Uber or Lyft are recommended. Participants will earn .02 ICC CEUs. Please dress for the weather, wear comfortable shoes and clothes. Additional fee applies. This tour is limited to 20 people and is listed as an option when you register.

The ICC Past Directors of the Organization will host the Annual Ron Burton Golf Outing on October 18 benefiting the International Code Council Foundation.

Advocacy Update: Political Impact on Codes

Federal, state, and local policymakers are increasingly focused on housing affordability, disaster resilience, infrastructure, and regulatory reform – issues that directly impact building codes, code adoption, and the work of building departments. Join ICC’s Government Relations team for an update on the latest legislative, regulatory, and political developments affecting the code and building safety community. The session will include a look at emerging policy trends across the states, key federal initiatives, and an outlook on the 2026 midterm elections and what the results could mean for building safety policy. Guests will leave with a better understanding of the evolving policy landscape, ICC’s advocacy priorities, and practical ways to help educate policymakers on the value of modern codes and standards. Participants will earn .01 CEUs.

Opening Session/Annual Business Meeting

The Opening Session will include remarks from ICC leadership and dignitaries, and the presentation of colors. The Annual Business Meeting will feature reports from Board officers, committees, and the CEO, as well as voting on business matters, including the election of ICC Board Officers and Directors.

Participants will earn 0.2 CEUs for the Annual Business Meeting.
