2024 IBC – Wind and Tornado Loads (Online Live)

Part 4 of this 6-part series will provide information to assist building officials during the plan review process on the proper evaluation of structural loads per the 2024 International Building Codeо (IBCо) and the IBC-referenced 2022 ASCE/SEI 7 Minimum Design Loads and Associated Criteria for Buildings and Other Structures (ASCE 7-22). This presentation covers design requirements for wind and tornado loads. The discussion will include how to determine wind and tornado pressures on main wind force resisting systems and components and cladding of enclosed, partially enclosed and open buildings.
