2012/2013 International Green Construction and Swimming Pool and Spa Code Committees
Following the completion of the 2011 Final Action Hearings later this year, the International Green Construction Code (IgCC) and International Swimming Pool and Spa Code (ISPSC) will be published in early 2012 and become part of the family of the 2012 I-Codes.
The 2011 Code Development Hearing for these two codes was completed in May and ICC is preparing for the upcoming 2012/2013 Cycle for these two new codes. The 2012/2013 Cycle is the first cycle which implements the Board of Directors new process which groups the codes into two groups: Group A codes which will be processed in 2012 and Group B codes which will be processed in 2013. Group A Code Committees will hear the 2012 code change proposals at the 2012 Code Development Hearing during the period of April 29 – May 6, 2012. Group B Code Committees will hear the 2013 code change proposals at the 2013 Code Development Hearing during the period of April 21 – 28, 2013. The IgCC and ISPSC Codes are part of the Group B Codes.
At this time, ICC is receiving applications for members for both of the IgCC Committees and the ISPSC Committee. Code Committee members are considered for appointment by the newly formed Codes and Standards Council with final approval resting with the ICC Board of Directors. 2011 IgCC and ISPSC Code Committee members who presided over the 2011 Code Development Hearing and whose term expires December 31, 2011, must reapply to be considered for re-appointment. Note: This call completes the Call for Committee for the 2012/2013 Cycle for all code committees. All other code committees were covered under the posted Call on February 3, 2011 for which the application deadline of June 1, 2011 has expired and the May 25th updated Call for the Commercial and Residential Energy Code Committees which has an application deadline of July 1, 2011.
