2008 Annual Conference Wrap-Up

Tomberlin, Sirkis Clock Fastest Times in Fun Run

Guy Tomberlin (Fairfax, Va.) and Brenda Sirkis (Princeton Junction, N.J.) were the men’s and women’s winners of this year’s Fun Run held at Boom Island. Tomberlin finished the 3.2 mile course with a time of 22:54 and Sirkis clocked 28:00 while finishing ninth overall.

Finishing second in the men’s division was Joseph Hetzel (Cleveland, Ohio) with a time of 24:04, followed by third place winner Corey Bundey (Santa Clara, Utah) with a time of 24:35. Lisa LaRue (Monmouth Junction, N.J.) was second in the women’s division with a time of 32:47, followed by Maureen Leyden (East Greenwich, R.I.) with a time of 32:49.

There were a total of 34 delegates participating in this year’s Fun Run. The event was once again sponsored by RADCO.
