The International Code Council offers a variety of training options for every individual to earn continuing education units, learning units and/or Professional Development Hours (CEUs, LUs and/or PDHs) that can be used toward ICC certification renewal.

ICC Training

Explore ICC Training for a robust library of online courses ranging from beginner to advanced topics in all the ICC codes including topics specific to building safety, fire, design and construction, safety, plumbing, mechanical, fuel gas and leadership.

 

Become an Instructor

Get involved with ICC Training by becoming an instructor, subject matter expert (SME), suggest a training topic or submit a presentation.

International Accreditation
Service (IAS)

IAS offers recorded web and in-person training programs for conformity assessment professionals worldwide. Select IAS training programs also offer CEUs to contribute to ongoing professional development requirements.

S. K. Ghosh Associates
(SKGA)

SKGA provides live and recorded web sessions and face-to-face topics geared towards engineering or building safety professionals looking to keep up to date with technical information on building code and structural standards.

 

Credential of Learning Achievement (CLA)

A CLA goes beyond traditional training in its measurement of comprehension on the subject matter. It validates the participants willingness to go the extra mile in training and career advancement. The CLA differs from ICC certifications because there is the required components of training/education and assessment on a specific subject matter.

Preferred Providers

Additional training offered by International Code Council-selected education providers (Preferred Providers) is available on topics including, but not limited to codes, standards and guidelines, as well as building construction materials, products and methods.

Building Department Education

Build a strong foundation for your building department with our Building Department Education: Core Knowledge for Code Professionals Subscription. This one year, self paced program provides consistent, high quality training - ideal for onboarding new staff or strengthening department-wide expertise.

Code Enforcement Program

Designed as your complete toolkit for professional excellence, the ICC Code Enforcement Program provides all the resources needed to advance your career. Our "one-stop shop" approach ensures you have the necessary knowledge and skills, whether you're new to the field or an experienced professional.

Contractor Training
(Formerly Winn's CE)

We offer the right Contractor Training for every stage of your career, whether you're fulfilling continuing education requirements, qualifying for a state exam, earning a new endorsement or certification, or preparing for a rewarding career through a Registered Apprenticeship program.

When Disaster Strikes Institute (WDS)

The When Disaster Strikes (WDS) Institute guides participants through disaster scenarios, reviews documentation requirements, and encourages discussion and experience sharing. Upon completion of the Institute, participants can be relied on to assist with performing post-disaster building safety evaluations.
