CREDENTIALING
Certification Exams
The International Code Council offers several certification opportunities to support career development.
The Code Council maintains one of the most historic and prestigious credentialing programs for construction codes and standards. We are committed to upholding the highest standard through continuous review and partnership with experienced professionals.
Building departments, state and provincial agencies, and third-party entities worldwide recognize Code Council certification as the most significant codes and standards credentials that building professionals can attain.
Code Council certification examinations are maintained to the highest standards and include continuous review by committees of experienced professionals.
Becoming Code Council-certified is a significant personal and professional accomplishment and a key step toward enhanced professional stature. Code Council certificate holders demonstrate a commitment to protecting public health, safety, and welfare.
While many building departments and state agencies recognize Code Council certification, we recommend contacting the applicable agency regarding specific licensing and employment requirements.
