The Code Council's Plumbing, Mechanical, Fuel Gas and Swimming Pool Codes (PMG) Programs

The International Code Council is a world leader in building safety solutions for plumbing, mechanical, fuel gas and swimming pool professionals. We provide technical resources, product certification, training and more. Our team of experts consists of experienced and knowledgeable staff from a wide range of backgrounds and industries.

The Code Council has historically used the acronym PMG to refer to its model codes, standards, services and resources related to plumbing, mechanical, fuel gas. With the release of the International Swimming Pool and Spa Code (ISPSC) in 2012, it has expanded to include swimming pools and spa topics.

The Code Council also develops model codes and standards related to PMG, including the International Plumbing Code, International Mechanical Code, International Fuel Gas Code and the International Swimming Pool and Spa Code. These individual members of the Code Council’s family of coordinated codes are used by communities nationwide to protect health, safety and welfare within buildings.
